Robert P. Carr, MBA, APR | President | rcarr@carrmarketing.com

Bob Carr is co-founder and president of Carr Marketing Communications and brings a rare blend of strategic foresight, business planning and communications experience to our clients. His expertise makes him a sought-after speaker and presenter on the topics of public relations, branding, strategic planning and risk communications.
In his role, Bob has provided valued planning and strategic counsel to a variety of national and regional clients in the areas of environmental risk communications, financial services, healthcare, food and beverage, cultural marketing and fundraising communications.
His credentials include certification as a strategic planner by the American Management Association International, and the holder of an MBA degree and a B.A. degree in journalism from St. Bonaventure University.
Bob is an accredited member (APR) of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and an elected member of PRSA’s Counselors Academy. He was the co-recipient of the Buffalo-Niagara PRSA Chapter’s first “Public Relations Practitioner of the Year” Award and was named “Alumnus of the Year” by St. Bonaventure University’s Russell J. Jandoli School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Bob has taught Organizational Communication in St. Bonaventure’s School of Business graduate program on “Professional Leadership” and currently teaches Strategic Marketing Management in St. Bonaventure’s graduate Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) program.
Cheryl Carr, MA, ABC | Chief Operating Officer | ccarr@carrmarketing.com
Cheryl Carr is co-founder and chief operating officer of Carr Marketing Communications. She has more than 30 years experience in providing strategic communications counsel to clients with a primary focus on marketing consulting and healthcare communications.
Cheryl’s expertise helped guide the development of numerous strategic marketing communications programs, including the Western New York Association for Homes and Services for the Aging (WNYAHSA), Beechwood Continuing Care and Lutheran Social Services in Jamestown, NY. She assisted in the development and design of a regional website for family caregivers, WNYSeniorCare.org, which won an Innovation of the Year award from the New York Association of Homes and Services for the Aging.
She has successfully facilitated strategy sessions on behalf of the New York Association of Area Agencies on Aging and the Community Health Foundation of Western and Central New York, and helped to launch a first-in-the-nation community collaborative called the Western New York Alliance for Person-Centered Care.
In 2011, WNYAHSA presented Cheryl with its Meritorious Service Award, the organization’s highest honor. In the community, she was a Council delegate and troop leader for the Girl Scouts of Western New York; chaired the marketing committee and served on the advisory board for the Women’s Business Center at Canisius College; and was a member of the marketing committee of Leave a Legacy® Western New York. She continues to serve as an investment volunteer for the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County.
Accredited by the International Association of Business Communicators, Cheryl has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University’s College of Communications and a master’s degree in history from St. Bonaventure University. She is a former Gannett Group reporter and worked in communications for a Fortune 100 company earlier in her career.
Mark J. DePalma | Senior Consultant
Mark joined the Carr team in 2011 as a senior consultant through a strategic alliance between Carr and the marketing practice he established in 2009.
He is an accomplished marketing and communications professional with nearly 25 years of consumer and business-to-business experience in the financial services, healthcare, cultural tourism, restaurant, retail and legal sectors.
As a member of the marketing team at M&T Bank for over 18 years, Mark progressed to the position of administrative vice president of marketing and communications. Among other responsibilities, he played a key role in the evolution of the M&T brand, established the bank’s direct marketing and internal communications functions, and managed all customer communications activities in support of 14 bank mergers.
Mark also served as chief marketing officer for HealthNow (Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY and BlueShield of Northeastern New York) In this role, he managed all marketing functions including product development, advertising, public relations, direct marketing, employee communications, market research and competitive intelligence, web development, sales support, sponsorships and community affairs.
Mark earned an MBA in finance and marketing from the University at Buffalo School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree in communications and marketing management from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the Crouse-Hinds School of Management.
Megan Webb | Public Relations Consultant

Megan Webb is a public relations consultant for Carr Marketing Communications with more than five years of marketing and communications experience.
Joining Carr in April 2008 as an account executive, Megan serves Carr clients in the financial, not-for-profit, environmental, healthcare, b2b and b2c sectors. She has been an integral part of several noteworthy media relations, video and interactive communications campaigns for Carr clients, which have been honored with Excalibur Awards by the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) Buffalo/Niagara Chapter.
After relocating to Boston in April 2010, Megan now works with Carr as a public relations consultant.
Prior to joining the Carr team, Megan worked for an Atlanta-based marketing agency where she managed strategic branding and public relations campaigns for b2c and b2b clients in the home and building marketplace.
Megan earned a bachelor’s degree in communications/journalism and English writing from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y. She is also an active member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Jim Pasinski | Public Relations Consultant

Jim Pasinski is a public relations consultant who provides environmental communications expertise to Carr Marketing Communications clients.
He has more than 10 years of communications and public relations experience, including public relations account manager for Carr and assistant director of communications and marketing at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford (PA). Jim began his career as a journalist and currently works in the telecommunications field.
Jim earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations from the University of Pittsburgh.
Dr. George Evans | Research Consultant
Dr. George Evans serves as communications research consultant and analyst for Carr Marketing Communications. With more than 35 years experience in the communications field, he creates research plans, conducts focus groups and advises on communications strategies. George also has a specialty in grant preparation and procurement.
He received his Ph.D. from Syracuse University, a bachelor’s degree from Rider University and a master’s degree from The University of Ohio. George is also a Rotarian, serving as an assistant district governor.
